Blood Emperor, Voice of the Truth, Original Pact
Quotes & Catchphrases
„Why lie when the truth can be so much more powerful.“
Before the zenith of the blood gods, Terados was a moderately well-known god, that liked to consort with serenians for his own pleasure and only occasionally took part in the planning and scheming of the other gods. He came to great fame in Seres when he gave the first pact to the young King Hylia ag Eldor and saved the whole city of Eldor from destruction. After the display of his power, the followers of Terados grew quickly in numbers and churches and shrines popped up all over the continent.
When Terados was cheated out of the payment of the pact however, his revenge was swift and he killed the ruling family of Eldor and took the throne for himself. His honest and ambitious nature unexpectedly won over most eldorians and not long after he came into power, he expanded the little Kingdom into a large empire.
After Terados ruled for hundreds of years in the mortal world, with little trouble and great success, his own high priests were is downfall. Convinced of his waning powers and that Terados was somehow connected to the Bronn, they bound him in an ancient and forbidden ritual to his mortal body and killed and ate him. In the following chaos, his church was almost destroyed and his followers long kept to the dark in fear of persecution from gods and men alike.
But there are signs that things are not as over as they might seem. For the last hundred years or so, there are rumours that there is a cult of Terados worshippers, clerics with powers gifted by a god and even whispers of pacts. Some think that has to be connected to the Tieflings. They share the blood of the blood gods and it is believed, that their existence prevented the blood god Terados from fading from this world. Some of the Tieflings themselves supposedly never stopped worshipping Terados, or so they say.
In the old days, Terados usually presented himself as a middle-aged man in a short dark jacket, with an ornate shirt and tie, dark trousers and shiny shoes. His greying brown beard was always trimmed but slightly too long to look really neat. His short brown hair was thinning on the top and he was shorter than the average man. None the less, Terados was a figure that commanded any room he walked into. He had an aura of quiet power and authority around him, which made people pledge their love and loyalty to him. He had a way with words that made people listen and he was famous for never lying.
There are still some of his statues and shrines left, crafted and built hundreds of years ago during the zenith of the blood gods. Age might have abraded some of his features, but they still hold a certain magic in them.

Since his high priests betrayed him and his church fell into chaos and destruction, there is no official holiday to celebrate Terados anymore. Some eldorians worship him quietly on the founding day of the Edlor Empire, the 23rd of Changing Winds. And there are supposed to be some tiefling traditions devoted to Terados, though they are not commonly known.
