The deity Tyr is know for her strong and able mind and her devotion to preservation and distribution of knowledge of any kind. She is so devoted to this, that in the past she has often acted against her own advantage to protect what she holds dear. After the near destruction of the famous library of , Tyr feared that ruin would come again to the largest accumulation of books and scripts in all of Seres and she convinced some of the other gods to protect the library from godly influence, banning their powers in a 7777 feet radius around it.
It is not clear why, but followers of Tyr strongly assume they are hated and hunted by the, unfortunately rather dangerous, followers of the god of treachery, Gill. Incidents where parchment was burned or acolytes where attacked in their quest for knowledge and education, occur with alarming frequency. So far, the followers of Tyr seem unable to find out what exactly caused this open animosity, or right the wrong that has been done. There are rumours that is has something to do with Gills twin Krill, the god of treachery, who has been a thorn in Tyrs side for a long time. It is clear however, that these are perilous times for ancient and unique texts and for those who publicly worship the deity of knowledge.
The goddess has no fixed form, her existence appears as filaments and dapples of light that ebb and flow through the air in a vaguely female, humanoid form. Her voice however is strong and certain. She is known to give specific orders and commands and to lose her nerve if things do not go as she planned.
Tyr is a deity that is worshipped all over Seres in varying degrees of devotion. From commoners who pray for her aide in learning of a new skill, to simple scholars and historians seeking ken, to her high priests that recover and protect ancient and unique texts and try to preserve and spread knowledge throughout the world. Important libraries and schools are often dedicated to the Mistress Wisdom, as well as numerous temples scattered over the continent. It is not uncommon as well, that great works of literature and poetry are directly bestowed upon Tyr and her Church.

There is no single day to worship the deity of knowledge. Her followers have their own, unique customs and traditions, embedded in their everyday lives, to celebrate Tyr. Though there are public events held at libraries and schools that are held under her name.
